Ruth Ellen McClain Galloway, age 79, of Albion, went to Heaven on Saturday, August 9, 2008 after a lengthy battle with Lymphoma Leukemia. She was born October 25, 1928 in Warsaw, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Alli Shepard McClain.

Ruth attended the Nazarene Church in Albion. Before she was married she worked as a legal secretary for the District Attorney in Coshocton County, Ohio. She also played the piano and accordion for the Coshocton United Brethren Church. Ruth enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edmond Galloway, whom she married August 5, 1958. Also surviving are many close relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Albion Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Wayne Hennen officiating. Burial w ill follow in Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
