Mary Jane Malone Stahlbaum Yeager
Mary Jane Yeager, age 78, passed away peacefully with family at her side, Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Dubois, PA, on October 31, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Webber) Malone.
Mary was a graduate of Academy High School. She worked for Lawson Corporation and Comtech Technologies. Mary loved her children and family, and always had a smile. She enjoyed square dancing, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, Casino gambling, and bowling. She was a great cook with excellent baking skills. She was a softball spectator extraordinaire while attending her granddaughters' softball games.
Her brothers, Mike Malone and John Malone, preceded Mary in death. Survivors include two sisters, Grace Rodgers of Florida, and Ella-mae Nowczynski, three sons, Robert Stahlbaum of Erie, James Stahlbaum of Millcreek, Thomas Yeager of West Springfield, one daughter, Anna Youngquist and her husband, Dave, of Millcreek. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Wendi, Frank, and Robert Spencer of Austin, TX, Danielle and Lisa Stahlbaum of Millcreeek Twp., John Yacobozzi of Erie, Charlie Yeager of Erie, Kayla Yeager of Erie, and Robert Stahlbaum of Erie, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A private memorial celebrating Mary's life will be held by her immediate family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 719 Indiana Drive, Erie, PA 16505. The Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, is handling the funeral arrangements.
