Dolores A. Rudler
Dolores A. Rudler, age 79, of Albion, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center after a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1928 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Wills) Lynch.
Dolores was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a life member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She loved her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed sewing and bowling. She was an avid McDowell football fan and a devoted follower of the Rudler Brothers Band. She was proud of the fact that she still lived independently at her own home in Albion.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Lynch, an infant sister, Mary Lynch, and her former husband, Lawrence Rudler. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Rudler and his wife Karen of Erie, Robert Rudler and his wife Suzanne of Girard, one sister, Jane Wynne and her husband Scotty of Hubbard, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Joseph & Derek, Neal, Adrianne, Heather, Austin, and Sarah.
Friends may call the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Albion Fire Department, 19 Smock Avenue, Albion, PA 16401, or to a charity of one's choice.
