Marion Bolte Parker

Marion Bolte Parker, 97, Albion, surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2008 after a short illness. She was born May 12, 1910 in Erie, a daughter of the late Conrad and Martha Vanda Martin Aggers.

Marion was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Erie. She loved square dancing at the Senior Citizen's Center. She has been very active throughout all the years of her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Parker, a daughter, Martha Jean Donahue, and eight brothers & sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Harriet Taylor of Albion, a son, Fredrick Bolte and his wife Barbara of Blue Springs, Missouri, a brother, Herbert Aggers of Lake City, PA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Michelle Wobrak of Christ United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Interment will be in Valley Cemetery, McKean, PA. The family requests memorials be made to West County Paramedics, 6852 Meadville Road, Girard, PA 16417 or the Albion Fire Department, 19 Smock Avenue, Albion, PA 16401.
