Paul Hanas

Paul Hanas, 94, Albion, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. He was born June 26, 1913 in Erie, a son of the late George and Suzanne Klobusnik Hanas.

Paul was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Fairview. He enjoyed farming, working around his house, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Douglas and Susan Duran, six brothers, George, Martin, John, Paul, Andy, and Joe Hanas. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Winifred Young Hanas, whom he married January 4, 1941. Also surviving are two sons, George Hanas and his wife Diane of Conneaut, OH, Don Hanas and his wife Patricia of Springboro, PA, two grandchildren, Rebecca & Jennifer Hanas, two step-grandchildren, John Brown & Rhonda Teudhope, and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Lundwall of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 6851 Old Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16415.
