Hugh S. Fortney
Hugh S. Fortney, 77 of Albion, PA died on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in East Springfield, PA on Nov. 18, 1929 the son of the late Charles and Olga Huotari Fortney.
He retired from Bailey in Conneaut, OH in 1994. Prior to working there he was employed by Lewis Auto Body, later known as Model Collision in Conneaut, OH.
He served with the U.S. Army after WW 2.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 0151, Conneaut, OH and VFW, Albion.
He enjoyed his family, his dogs, working on cars, NASCAR, antique cars, car shows and camping.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florine Martin Fortney on May 28, 2004 and by a sister, Esther Wright.
He is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Lori) Fortney and her partner, April Hetrick, Girard, PA and Anna Fortney, Conneaut, OH; two sons, Ronald (Jodi) Fortney, Jamestown, PA and Les Fortney, Conneaut, OH.
Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call at the Steff Funeral Home, Albion on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and may attend services there on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
Interment in Hope Cemetery, Wellsburg.
