Harry Andrejewski

Harry Andrejewski, 85, of Erie and formerly of Prospect Ave., died Tuesday evening December 6, 2011 at Abington Crest Nursing Facility following cardiac arrest. A resident of Erie all of his life he was born May 28, 1926 a son of the late Stanley and Anna Szymanvincz Andrejewski.

Harry served in the United States Navy during World War II and went on to work for the Sims Co. as a boilermaker for over 30 years. He was a member of the Boilermaker Union and the American Legion Carl Neff Post. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, carpentry, and baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters, Mary Andrejewski, Lucille Kurczewski, Theresa Chludzinski, Helen Peskorski, Florence Zayhowski, and Dorothy Sadler; and two brothers, Stanley and Frank Andrejewski.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews including, Robert Collins and his wife Fe, Dennis Chludzinski, Francis Peskorski, and Ronald Chludzinski, all of Erie; and two grandchildren, Robert and Elizabeth Collins.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services there at 5:00 p.m.. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Wintergreen Gorge Columbarium.
