Raymond E. Boesch

Raymond E. Boesch, 82, of Erie, died Wednesday morning June 29, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness. A resident of Erie all of his life he was born January 15, 1929 a son of the late Frank and Harriet Dudenhoeffer Boesch.

Raymond worked as an advertising manager for Pepsi Cola Co. for 43 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, the Siebenbuerger Club, and the Moose Club. He enjoyed working around the house and especially loved playing cards.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Larry W. Boesch; two brothers, William and Donald Boesch; and two sisters, Eleanor Adams and Mildred Vogel.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley Beebe Boesch; two sons, David Boesch of Erie and Gary Boesch and his wife Darcie of Charlotte, NC; one grandson, Timothy Boesch; a very special friend, Chris Mary of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
