Ida M. Beebe

Ida M. Beebe, age 88, of Erie, died on Friday, December 24, 2010, at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Corry on July 14, 1922, a daughter of the late Walter and Blanche Culp Beebe.

Ida was very involved with the Democratic party and held the offices of Democratic Chairperson and Judge of Elections for the 6th. District for 33 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Audrey Morgan and Charlotte Carver, three brothers; Harry Beebe, Raymond Beebe and Harold Beebe and one dear friend Beverly Scheinder.

She is survived by her daughter; Pat Wiggers of McKean, granddaughter; Penny Shaut and her husband Bryan two great-grandchildren; Kenna and Tenor Shaut and two sisters; Irene Turner and Shirley Boech.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.) on Monday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, and are invited to services there on Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 PM.

Interment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
