Martha P. Hund Baxter

Martha P. Hund Baxter, age 97, of Erie, died at her residence on December 4, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1913, in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of the late Pirman and Rose Simon Hund.

Martha was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church. She loved gardening and crocheting.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard Baxter in 2000.

She is survived by two daughters; Martha Rose Stevens and Patricia Davidson, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one sister Josephine Carson and her husband Bill of Pittsburgh.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.) on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the prayer service there at 12:15 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
