Sandra A. Brandon

Sandra A. Brandon, 60, of Erie, died Monday evening October 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Home East following a brief illness. A resident of Erie most of her life she was born in Dunkirk, NY on January 29, 1950 a daughter of Elizabeth Marconi Brandon and the late William H. Brandon.

Sandra was a 1968 graduate of Tech Memorial where she earned her cosmetology license. She loved doing hair and went on to work for many hair salons in the Erie area. Most recently she worked for Simplee Hair for over 10 years. She also was a bartender at the Swinging Door Cafe. She was a member of Holy Family, Our Mother of Sorrows Parish.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, William L. Brandon; one nephew, Richard Tobin; and one uncle, Donald Brandon.

In addition to her mother survivors include one sister, Donna Tobin of Erie; several nieces and nephews including, Jay and Michael Tobin, Barbara and Richard Anthony, and Carrie Conner; and her Godchildren, Brittany and Alyssa Tobin.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.) on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 913 Fulton St., Erie, at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
