Agnes H. Jandora Andrews

Agnes H. Jandora Andrews, age 84, a resident of Grandview Manor, died on Monday, October 4, 2010, at St. Vincent's Health Center. She was born on April 19, 1926, daughter of the late John and Mary Grawolski Jandora.

She retired from Hammonds Market where she was a cashier for over 25 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where she was part of the New Life Group. Agnes also belonged to senior citizens groups at St. James, The Mercy Center, Holy Rosary "Happy People" and St. Luke's Funtastics.

Agnes also enjoyed her crocheting, playing cards and flower gardening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George M. Andrews in 1987, seven sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by her son Michael Andrews and his wife Julie, of Washington, DC, daughter Patricia Andrews of Pittsburgh, PA, grandson Michael "Mac" Andrews, one sister, Regina B. "Jean" Horomanski of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews, especially James and Marie Horomanski.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited there for a prayer service on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
