 Stephen T. Radack Jr.
Stephen T. Radack Jr., 74, of 619 Montmarc Drive, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at St. Vincent Health Center.
He was born in Pittsburgh on May 4, 1936, son of the late Stephen and Emma Hunter Radack. He graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, and went on to earn his associates degree from Penn State University. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany form 1957 to 1959.
Stephen worked as an engineer for General Electric for 36 years and was awarded several patents during the development of the A.C. Traction Control Equipment.
He was a member of the GE Elfun Society, REA, GEER, GEMA, and also a member of the Erie Maennerchor Club and the East Erie Turners Club.
He attended Blessed Sacrament Church and served as Eucharist Minister, Sacristan, Parish Council and Cursillo # 76.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son Gregory R. Radack, and two sisters Hope Lee and Mary Stewart.
He is survived by his wife Rosan Radack, two sons, Dr. Stephen T. Radack III and his wife Mary of Erie, Jeffrey L. Radack and his wife Laura of Apex, NC, stepdaughter, Lynnanne Kielbasa and her husband Michael of Hamilton, ONT., stepson, Gregory Witherow and his wife Jessica of Houston, TX, grandchildren, Cassandra, Stephanie, Lily, and Jenna Radack, and Allison and Daniel Kielbasa, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. (corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.),on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association at 3580 Peach St. # 103-B Erie, PA 16508, or the charity of ones choice.
