Diana Denning Adams
Diana Denning Adams, 62, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Erie, passed away Monday morning January 11, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC following a brief illness. A resident of Erie until 2000 before moving to South Carolina, she was born in Erie on February 9, 1947 a daughter of Catherine Seiter Denning and the late Edward L. Denning.
Diana was a 1966 graduate of East High and had worked at Eckards Pharmacy as a pharmacist technician for 17 years before retiring in 1998. Previously she had worked at Kerner's Manufacturing and Buffalo Molded. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Divine Savior Church in York, SC. She loved bowling, bingo, reading, and camping.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Richard Denning; one sister, Donna Jean Paris; and one sister in law, Catherine Denning.
In addition to her mother survivors include her husband of 42 years, David Adams, Sr.; one daughter, Shelly Kimmy and her husband Thomas of North East; one son, David Adams, Jr. and his wife Tina of Gastonia, SC; one brother, Kenneth Denning of Wesleyville; one grandson, David Adams III; and three pets, Toby, Jake, and Pepper Ann. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
