Kenneth R. Cochran

Kenneth R. Cochran, 56, of Erie, died peacefully Monday, August 3, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center surrounded by his wife and family. A resident of Erie all his life he was born on February 14, 1953 a son of the late John and Marguerite Cantor Cochran.

Kenneth had worked at Steris Corporation for 33 years. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, playing cards, restoration projects and his pets.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Denise Towne Cochran of Erie; two sisters, Marjorie O'Connor and her husband Jim and Sandra Rekitt and her husband Steve, all of Erie. Many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. including a service there on Thursday at 11:00, officiated by Rev. James Eaton. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
