Esther J. Kammerdiener Bartlett

Esther J. Kammerdiener Bartlett, 73, of Erie, died Saturday April 11, 2009 at her residence following a lengthy illness. A resident of Erie all of her adult life, she was born in New Bethlehem, PA on April 22, 1935 a daughter of the late Edison T. and Louise Lentz Kammerdiener.

Louise was a 1953 graduate of Corsica High School and had enjoyed gardening, crafts, shopping, and taking care of her dog, Mr. Chips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pansy Carrie.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Loop and her longtime partner Jim Patterson of Erie, Cynthia Boose and her husband Jerome of Erie, and Cheri Kuhn and her husband Jim of Erie; two sons, Casey Bartlett and his wife Melissa of Erie and Richard Bartlett and his wife Karen of Erie; two brothers, Reed Kammerdiener of Indiana and Frederick Kammerdiener of San Bernadino, CA; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her former husband, Herbert Bartlett. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Derek Sanford. Burial will be in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, 16505 or a charity of one's choice.
