Shirley A. Hartner Curtis

Shirley A. Hartner Curtis, 58, a resident of Conneaut, Ohio died Wednesday evening November 5, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A resident of Conneaut, Ohio for 35 years, she was born in Union City, Pa. on August 19, 1950 a daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy Schwab Hartner.

Shirley was a 1968 graduate of Union City High School and had belonged to New Beginnings Full Gospel Church. She had worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years as a clerk.

Survivors include two daughters, Becky Orr and her husband Robert of Conneaut, Ohio and Carrie Bailey and her husband Chad of Conneaut, Ohio; one son, Shane Curtis of Conneaut, Ohio; four sisters, Judy Szklenski of Erie, Joann Bindeman and her husband Robert of Erie, Louise Haibach and her husband William of Waterford, and Donna Jewell of Ashtabula, Ohio; two brothers, Junior Hartner of Waterford and George Hartner of Wattsburg; and four grandchildren, Mina Orr, Sarah Bailey, Cloey Bailey, and Marcus Reinke. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends are invited to call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Paul Friend. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Phillipsville-Union Cemetery.
