Anne Marie Cecho

Anne Marie Cecho, 87, a resident of Greene Township, died on Wednesday evening July 16, 2008 at the Pleasant Ridge Manor East. A resident of the Erie area all of her life, she was born in Erie on May 16, 1921 a daughter of the late Joseph A. Cecho, Sr. and Juliana Babulak Cecho.

She was retired and had worked for many years in the office at Holy Rosary Church and was a longtime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Honey was an artist who did portraits, oil painting, sketching, charcoal drawings, and sculpturing. She was active in ballet in her younger years.

Survivors include a brother James Cecho of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother in WW II, Joseph Cecho, Jr, and three sisters, Agnes Cecho in 1991, Elizabeth Carroll in 1997, and Magdalen Penberthy in 2005.

Friends are invited to attend prayer services at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Boniface Church at 10:00 a.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until prayers there at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
