Dan Bryner

Daniel "Dan" Bryner, 97, formerly of Clark Road in Harborcreek, died on Friday morning May 2, 2008 at the Hawthorne Care Center in Brandon, FL. He was born in Erie on October 18, 1910 a son of the late Guy and Margaret Petrie Bryner.

He moved to Florida from Harborcreek in 1975. Dan had worked at the G.E. for many years and was retired. He was a graduate of Alfred University and was proud to have produced the finest flowers in Erie County. He last attended the Browning Road Baptist Church in Florida.

Survivors include a daughter Bonnie Shelton and her husband Frank of Riverview, FL; a son, Brent Bryner and his wife Betty of Plant City, FL; a sister, Madaline Sappah of Ft. Myers Bend, FL; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wives, Jean Morey Bryner in 1984, Marguerite McLean Shahan Bryner in 1995, and Ann Spruil Bryner in 2003; a daughter, Brenda Huff in 1985; and a sister, B. Virginia Rothstein in 2000.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the South Harborcreek Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Public visiting hours will not be observed and arrangements by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to LifePath Hospice, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573.
