Rita I. Boesch

Rita Albrecht Boesch, 79, formerly of Burns Avenue and the Cider Mill Apartments, died on Saturday morning February 2, 2008 at her residence at St. Mary's Home East following a lingering illness.

A resident of Erie all of her life, Rita was born in Erie on February 5, 1928 a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Chrzanowski Albrecht. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rita was retired and had worked at the Hammermill Paper Co. as a sorter and counter. She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include 3 sons, Mark Boesch and his wife Theresa, Christopher Boesch and his wife Nancy, and Peter Boesch and his wife Michelle DeHaven, all of Erie; a daughter, Lisa Boesch--Glista and her husband David Glista of Durham, NH; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Boesch and his wife Sheree, Ryan Boesch, Logan and Sydney Glista. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James Boesch on September 25, 1998.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., Monday 7 to 9 PM and are invited to prayer services there on Tuesday morning at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
