Jeffrey A. Davis

Jeffrey A. Davis, 52, a resident of Millcreek Township, died unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday afternoon June 13, 2007.

A resident of North East and Erie most of his life, he was born in Findley Lake, NY on July 6, 1954 a son of Garry and Martha "Mickey" McLane Davis of Tullahoma, TN. He was a 1972 graduate of North East High School.

Jeff spent 16 years of his professional career as an executive with Finish Thompson Inc. before moving on to other endeavors. He was a member of the South Harborcreek United Methodist Church, Lawrence Lodge #708 F & AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite--Valley of Erie, and the Zem Zem Shrine Temple. Jeff received his Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1989 from Penn State University and was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Penn State football fan.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 28 years Christal Hoover Davis; a daughter, Krista Davis of Bethesda, MD; a son, Brad Davis of New Orleans, LA; 3 sisters, Janet McFall and her husband Tom of Fontana, CA, Julie Parrish and her husband Glen of Collierville, TN, and Jackie Brawner and her husband Eddie of Brentwood, TN; his mother in law, Grace Rugh Hoover of Harborcreek; and a number of loving brothers and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father in law Hileman Hoover.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM and are invited to services there on Monday morning at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Larry Reitz.
Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Lawrence Lodge # 708 F & AM will conduct Masonic services at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 PM.
