Gertrude Adamczyk

Gertrude Adamczyk, 75, formerly of 1344 E. 8th St., died on Friday evening January 12, 2007 at the Pleasant Ridge Manor East.

A resident of Erie all of her life, she was born in Erie on April 29, 1931 a daughter of the late Stanley and Cecelia Lijewski Adamczyk. Gertrude was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Mary J. Piotrowski of Erie and Theresa Glaz and her husband Edward of North Olmsted, OH; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, Stanley, and Albin Adamczyk; 3 sisters, Clara French, Helen Smith, and Florence Santia.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Casimir Church, 629 Hess Ave. on Friday morning June 1, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie.
