Adeline Sabatini Cacchione, age 92, resident of Saint Joseph Apartments, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Erie she was born March 1, 1917, a daughter of the late Felix and Albina DiPiero Sabatini. She enjoyed bingo, cards, the casino and cooking.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nello Cacchione; son-in-law, Barry F. Tirpak; brother, Raymond Sabatini; one sister, Josephine Kwiatowski and a grandson, Christopher Mark Cacchione.

She is survived by one daughter, Marlene R. Tirpak; one son, Nicholas Cacchione; one brother, LeRoy Sabatini and four sisters, Lillian Quadri, Margaret Baldini, Rose Agostini, and Anita Ferraro; one sister-in-law, Mary Sabatini all of Erie. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Elizabeth Kennerknecht, Dr. Robert Cacchione, Nicholas Cacchione and wife Margaret, John Cacchione and wife Dana, Christopher Tirpak and wife Patti and Joshua Cacchione and partner Edward. She is also survived by11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 9:30 am with Rev. Alex Amico officiating. A Christian wake service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 pm. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
