Nancy Jane Gardner Smith

Nancy Jane Gardner Smith, 74, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Edinboro, on February 28, 1936. Daughter of the late, Marion "Dan" and Jessie Hitt Gardner.

Nancy worked at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for 29 years as a receptionist in the university library.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Dennis Smith; three sons, Daniel Smith and his wife Diana of Howard, Pa., Scott Smith of Edinboro, and Timothy Smith and his wife Nora of Erie; also eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In accordance to Nancy's wishes, a memorial service will be held at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA 16412, Monday at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Barbara English officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach Street, Erie, PA, 16501, or to the charity of your choice in Nancy's name.
