Olive Florence Corbett

Olive Florence Corbett, 83, of Edinboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at the Edinboro Manor. She was born in Anita, PA on February 27, 1925. Daughter of the late John Samuel and Daisy Bell Streiff Shaffer.

Olive was a member of Franklin Center United Methodist Church, was a MYF Youth Consular, active member in the Ladies Center Circle, Albion Fair Church Food Building, Harvest Home Supper, Vacation Bible School and the Edinboro Senior Citizens. Olive enjoyed walking, shopping and spending time with her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband LeRoy Clayten Corbett in 1984; also, two brothers, Clarence Shaffer and Paul Shaffer and four sisters, Twila Plotz, Margaret Uplinger, Dorothy Manners and Sarah Geer.

Survivors include her son, Claten LeRoy Corbett, and his wife Tina, of S.C.; two daughters, Florence Hanes and her husband Jim, of Edinboro, and Susan Huff of A.Z.; also her loving grandchildren, Brad Fuller and his wife Elizabeth; Allen Huff; Tonya Brown and her husband Chris; Ginger Bingham and her husband, Rick, Jeff Huff, J.D. Hanes, Amanda Corbett, Garrett Corbett; and five great grandchildren Randy and Justin Fuller, Elizabeth, Caleb and Shaun Brown.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Barb English officiating. There will also be a service in Center Hill, PA at the Methodist Church on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA 16412.
