Sandra "Sandy" Ethel (Stevens) Lindberg

Sandra "Sandy" Ethel (Stevens) Lindberg, age 68, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West, surrounded by her children. She was born October 29, 1939, daughter of the late Clara A. and Arthur A. Ames.

Sandy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her children were her life treasures. She was known for her fiesty spirit with a self-sacrificing heart and being a strangers' best friend. She was also proud of her family and had special memories of Racoon Park which will be cherished.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Ames. She is survived by her husband Edward Lindberg, and deeply loved by her four children, Amelia A. Dunn and her husband Jim of Edinboro, Theresa L. Roman and her husband Glenn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kathleen M. Piccione and her husband Steve of Long Island, New York, and James L. Stevens of Warren, Michigan. She is also survived by her four devoted grandchildren, Alyssa and Gillian Dunn, Naomi Roman, and Gianna Piccione. She is also survived by her sister Joan Trimble and her husband Fred of Girard. She was dearly adored and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family, under the direction of the Glunt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Sandy's Grandchildren's Trust Fund in care of the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA 16412.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Pleasant Ridge Manor West and the VNA Hospice for their tender and compassionate care.
