Helen M. "Sis" Lewis Zimmer

Helen M. "Sis" Lewis Zimmer, 75, of Saegertown, formerly of 927 East 7th Street Erie, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at St. Mary's Home in Erie. She was born in Erie on April 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Lloyd A. and Grace D. Lewis.

Helen graduated from East High School and attended Erie Business College. She was employed in housekeeping with the General McLane School District and also worked at Uncle Charlie's Pizza Pub in Edinboro. She was a former member of the Erie Hunt and Saddle Club and she loved caring for her cats.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lewis. Survivors include a daughter, Janet R. Lewis and her fiance Keith Jeffreys, a son, James R. Zimmer, two grandchildren, Christopher and Shannon Lewis.

No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Northwestern PA, 2407 Zimmerly Road, Erie, PA 16506.
