Thelma Agnes Ward
Thelma Agnes Ward, 76, of Edinboro, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at home. She was born in Meadville, Pa. on Aug. 4, 1931, daughter of the late Ward Eugene and Vera Briggs Waid.
Thelma worked on the family dairy farm and was a homemaker. She attended Franklin Center United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother Faye Waid, and sisters May Mattocks, Ruth Hanes, Helen Mattocks and Jane Dixon. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Lawrence Ward; four sons, Robert D. Ward and his wife Jeanie of Edinboro; William D. Ward and his wife Angel, of Union City; Gene Ward and his companion Cecilia of Springboro; and George D. Ward; two daughters, Linda A. Franks, and her husband Bernard of Oakfield, N.Y.; and Janet Lee Keiper and her husband David, of Union City; her brother Ward Waid and his companion Mabel, of Rochester, N.Y.; and a sister, Gladness Williams of Meadville; also 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, an Independent Care Group Affiliate is in charge of funeral arrangements.
