Arlene Marie Carlson

Arlene Marie LeSuer Carlson, 79, of Edinboro died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Edinboro on August 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Reginald and Evelyn LeSuer McCombs.

She was employed as a long distance telephone operator for Bell Telephone for several years. Arlene also worked as a secretary at American Motors Sales in Erie and at the Glunt Funeral Home as a door greeter. She was a member of the McLane Church in Edinboro. She founded the Lupus Foundation of Erie, and had a fond love for bowling. Arlene enjoyed keeping team records and helping the Edinboro Lanes in anyway that she could, she loved her bowling friends they were like her second family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carlson in 1998.
Survivors include her daughter, Jayne Masternak and her companion, John Gaub, of Edinboro; a son David Carlson of Savage, Minnesota; a sister, Carolyn Cap and her husband, Paul, of Placentia, CA; a half sister Judy Shy of AZ; also one grandchild, Marcus Masternak who was the light of her life; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, Independent Care Group Affiliate, on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Shelow officiating. Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery.
