Jack Ramsey Cooper
Outdoors man, craftsman and Builder

Jack Ramsey Cooper, 76, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in New Jersey on November 7, 1930, son of the late James and Carrie Kitchen Cooper. Jack retired from APGAR Brothers Trucking Co. in Erie, and also worked at Liberty Iron and Metal Co. He was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Painsville, Ohio and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Erie where he served on the Vestry.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Sally Miller in 1990, and Judy Hoare in 1995. Survivors include his devoted wife of 25 years Phyllis; four sons, Jack Cooper, Jr. of Phillipsburg, N.J.; Ted Cooper and his wife Janice of Bangor, PA; David Cooper of Bangor, PA; and Tom Cooper and his wife Mary of Waterford, PA; two daughters, Patty Cooper of Holiday, FL; and Diane Landry and her husband Rick of Dade City, FL; one step daughter, Diana Romanoff and her husband John of Chardon, OH; two brothers, James M. Cooper, Jr. and his wife Ann of Kingwood, N.J.; and Charles W. Cooper and his wife Janet of Holland Township, N.J.; two sisters, Barbara Wilkins and her husband Robert of Saxton, PA; and Joyce Singley and her husband Gene of Tinicum Township, PA; also 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Glunt Funeral Home, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, an Independent Care Group Affiliate. A prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed Funeral Service at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Erie at 10:30 a.m..

Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, McKean.
