John J. Daggett

Mr. John J. Daggett, 65, of Bridge Street, Union City, Pa. passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at UPMC of Pittsburgh, Pa. John was born August 24, 1943 in Sandy Lake, PA the son of Doris (Peck) Wiggins, and the late Joseph P. Daggett.

He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Navy, and had retired from PNC Bank as a senior vice president after 38 years of service. He had been very active in the Union City area formerly as a Union City Lions Club member, a Kiwanis Club member, a former Union City Memorial Hospital Board Member, a former Union City Area School Board Member and a former member of the Union City Country Club. He had also helped head up United Way Campaign. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Daggett. Survivors include his wife; Christine (Pusch) Daggett of Union City, PA two daughters; Amanda Post and her husband Troy of Erie, PA; and Abigail Daggett of Union City, PA a son Tracy Daggett and his wife Carla of Union City, PA; his mother Doris Wiggins of Houston, TX; three sisters; Sherry Brown and her husband Ronald of Union City, P A; Sue Ann Packo and her husband Jeff, Robin Wiggins, and a brother Douglas Wiggins all of Houston, TX. His mother-in-law; Mrs. Genevieve Pusch, and a brother-in-law Rick Pusch and his wife Susan all of Union City, PA, three grandchildren, J.T. and Maria Daggett and Wyatt Post, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the GLENN FUNRAL HOME, 62 South Main Street, Union City, PA on Sunday, January 25,2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 9 Third Avenue, Union City, PA on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11 :00 A.M. Father Thomas Suppa will officiate. Interment will be in St. Teresa Cemetery, Union City, PA.
