Doris Mildred Bowen

Doris Mildred (Tarbell) Bowen, 89, of Route Six, Union City, Pa. went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Corry Memorial Hospital, Corry, Pa. She was born February 19, 1919 in Cleveland , Ohio, the daughter of the late Merrill O. and Lucille L. (Fenno) Tarbell.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter #19, Union City, Pa. and had retired from Molded Fiber Glass Co. in 1984 as an inspector after 23 1/2 years. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family and her dog. She was the "Rock" of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill O. and Lucille L. (Fenno) Tarbell, and her husband Merrill A. Bowen in 1992, and also by an infant son David. Survivors include a son; Ronald Bowen, three daughters; Judy Goforth, Kay Manno and her husband John, and Jan Keefer and her husband Neal, all of Union City, Pa. two grandsons; Scott Morris and Mike Manno, and five granddaughters, Darlene Keefer, Tersa Kent, Tammy Morris, Ann Hazlett, and Kim Persons, 14 great grandchildren, and a sister; Evelyn Alexander and her husband Elmer of Union City, Pa.

riends will be received at the Glenn Funeral Home, 62 South Main Street, Union City, Pa. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, February 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and attend funeral services there on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. G. David Brooks will officiate with interment in Lawn Cemetery, Beaverdam, Pa. in the spring of 2008
