Mike Dominguez

Mike Dominguez, 93, formerly of Union City, Pa. died on Sunday , January 13, 2008 at his residence on Turnpike Road, Corry, Pa. He was born May 8, 1914 in Marfa, Texas the son of the late Diage and Natibada (Ferraro) Dominguez.

He loved to work with wood and make furniture, birdhouses, and model vehicles, also to fix lawnmowers, and play pool. He even invented his own game of checkers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife June Audrey (Higley) Dominguez in 1992, whom he married on September 26, 1942 in Union City, Pa. and by a son David Higley in 2003, two sisters; Chinda Dominguez Carson and Martha Dominguez Pinta and two brothers; Feliepe Dominguez and Jack Dominguez, and by two grandsons. Survivors include four sons: Michael Dominguez, Larry Dominguez and his wife Roseann, Duane Higley and his wife Diane, all of Union City, Pa. and Robert Dominguez of Meadville, Pa., a daughter: Mary Lou White of Erie, Pa., a sister Kathleen Dominguez Reveria of Grandburg, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. And a very special friend and caregiver Mrs. Ida Ripple of Corry, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Glenn Funeral Home, 62 South Main Street, Union City, Pa. on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 6 - 7:30 o.m. at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Robert Willet of the United Presbyterian Church will officiate, and interment will be in Loomis Cemetery, Crawford County.
