Dennis Joseph Austin

Dennis Joseph Austin, 48, of Erie, passed away January 1, 2012 after a battle with cancer. He was born February 18, 1963, in Erie son, of David P. Thomas and the late Patricia A. Thomas.

Besides his father, he is survived by a son, Joshua Austin, a daughter, Amber Austin, a grandson, Shawn Austin, eleven brothers and sisters, Deborah Brozell (William), John Austin (Angela), David Austin (Julie), Karen Wallace (Shane), Pam Thomas and Phil Ostrowski, Scott Thomas and Patricia Burger, Paula Thomas and Sajid Burzic, Sheri Thomas Tracey Thomas and Angelo Torres and Kelly Thomas all of Erie and Paul Thomas (Kim) of Union City. Also survived by an uncle James Duchnowski and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa. 16503, Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the family c/o of Edward J. Garr Funeral Home.
