Allen Clarence Arrington

Allen Clarence Arrington, 81, of Fairview Township passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. He was born May 4, 1929 in Heidelberg, Miss., son of the late Newt and Lacy Arrington.

He served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Erie Castings Company. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union. He enjoyed family, loved fishing and was a Dallas Cowboy fan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Davis Arrington; two sisters: Bernell Arrington and Ira Lee Pierce; and a brother Albert Arrington. Survivors include a daughter Deborah Arrington and a son Allen Arrington, Jr., both of Chicago, Ill.; a son Rickey Arrington, a daughter Joyce Starr (husband David), Jonathan Arrington (wife Nancy) all of Erie; a son Michael Arrington of Miss., a daughter Angela Arrington, and a son Hubert Arrington (wife Mary) both of Erie; and a sister Miss Louise Arrington of Laurel, Miss. Also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1 p.m.
