Geraldine M. Borkowski

Geraldine M. Borkowski, 66, or Erie, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, following a brief illness.

Gerri enjoyed going to the casino, her pets, visiting with friends and family, and playing with her granddaughter.

She was born in Erie on September 20, 1944, daughter of the late Chester and Sophie Witkowski Borkowski, Sr.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Robert C. Borkowski. She is survived by her son, James Borkowski and his wife, Melissa (Mehler), and a granddaughter, Kayla E. Borkowski, of Erie.

She is also survived by a brother, Chester Borkowski, Jr., and a sister, Shirley Braymiller.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
