Virginia Marie Kaminski Conover

Virginia Marie Kaminski Conover, 86, of Erie passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1924 in Erie, daughter of the late Maximillion and Martha (Kruszewski) Kaminski.

She was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy, St. Vincent School of Nursing and St. Joseph College in Maine. She retired from Saint Vincent Health Center, where she was an RN Nursing Supervisor. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Conover, in 1993; two sisters, Florence Kunicki and Otylia Gdaniec; and two brothers, Raymond Kaminski and Max Kaminski. Survivors include three daughters, Patti Schwier and husband, B.T., of Center Hall, Pa., Cynthia Conover and husband, Douglas Roher, State College, Pa., and Pamela Perciavalle and husband, Frank, of Piqua, Ohio; a son, David Conover, and wife,Melanie, of Fairview, Pa. Also survived by 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church at the corner of 26th and Wallace St. There will be a reception immediately following the Mass.

The family graciously declines flowers and would like donations made to St. John the Baptist Church, 509 E. 26th St., Erie, PA 16504. The Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St., Erie, PA 16503, is handling the arrangements.
