Marilyn S. Palaszewski Widomski

Marilyn S. Palaszewski Widomski, 70, of Erie passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 20, 1939 in Erie, daughter of the late Thaddeus and Mary (Moroski) Palaszewski.

She retired from Hammermill Paper where she worked in the office. She was a member of the Polish Sharpshooters Club. She enjoyed her family. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Benedict Academy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfons Widomski in 1992; a brother Theodore F. Palas; and a brother-in-law Arthur Carrick. Survivors include a sister Theresa Carrick of Erie; a brother Ronald Palas; a nephew Mark Carrick; a sister-in-law Marie Palas; a nephew Chris Palaszewski (Cheryl) and their children Justin, Brian, Anthony, Rachael; a nephew Matt Palas (Linda); and a niece Laura Anderson (Michael) and their children Zachary, Jackson, Kearney and Cameron, of Va.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family graciously requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o Garr Funeral Home.
