Sophia Majewski Krasinski

Sophia Majewski Krasinski, 100, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Village of Luther Square. She was born April 10, 1909, in Erie, daughter of the late Adam and Helen (Roznowski) Majewski.

She retired from the GE Company and then she worked as a seamstress for several years. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and it's Rosary Society, and the East Erie Turners. She enjoyed playing cards.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Krasinski; a son, Leonard Kaye; a grandson, Steven Kaye; two brothers, Alfonse and Richard Majewski; and two sisters, Martha Cohen and Ann Daniels. Survivors include two grandsons, Kevin Kaye, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Jeffrey Kaye, of Erie; a sister, Clara Mizikowski, of Erie; two brothers Robert Majewski, of Garfield, N.J., and Edward Majewski, of Erie; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Kaye, of Boynton Beach, Fla. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services were private. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, handled the arrangements.
