Geraldine "Gerrie" (Wieczorek) Bakera

Geraldine "Gerrie" (Wieczorek) Bakera 75 passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born April 3, 1934 in Erie the daughter of the late Frank and Celia (Turbaczewski) Wieczorek.

She formerly worked at Bridal Flower Shop and was an active member at Saint Stanislaus Church.

Besides both of her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bakera in 1986. She leaves behind her daughter Laurie (Bakera) Wasielewski and husband Raymond, son, Greg and wife Debbie Bakera and five grandchildren, Allison, Jeremy, and Kara Wasielewski as well as Johnathan and Justin Bakera all of Erie. Other survivors include her brothers, Edwin, Joseph, David and wife Carol Wieczorek of Erie, as well as uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Stanislaus Church, 13th & Wallace Street, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian burial at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund, 915 State Street, Erie, PA 16501 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West Eight Street, Erie, PA 16505. The Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 is in charge of arrangements
