Josephine M. Wilczynski Bartnik

Josephine M. Wilczynski Bartnik, 90, of Erie, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Western Reserve. She was born March 18, 1918, in Erie, daughter of the late John and Angela Wieschowski Wilczynski. She retired from Erie Resistor Corporation and formerly worked for Bliley Electric Company. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Senior Citizens, and former member of St. Stanislaus Senior Citizens. She was a seamstress and she enjoyed traveling abroad.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Bartnik in 1995, two sisters, Theresa Michalski and St. Mary Leonette, OSB, and two brothers, Raymond and Frank Wilczynski. Survivors include one sister, Mary Duda of Erie, two brothers, Joseph Wilczynski and wife Pat, Leonard Wilczynski and wife Gloria both of Erie, three sisters-in-law, Dolores Wilczynski, Pearl Hood and Marie Bartnik all of Erie, and one brother-in-law, Marion Bartnik of Erie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pa 16503, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at.1 1:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at St. Stanislaus Church. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Stanislaus Church Renovation Fund, 516 East 13th Street, Erie, PA 16503.
