Frances R. Kieklak Trochowski

Frances R. Kieklak Trochowski, 89, passed away on Holy Saturday, March 22 at Hamot Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born in Erie on June 21, 1918, the daughter of the late Prokop and Josephine Precon Kieklak.

She met her late husband, Carl, while they both attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and High School. They later married at St. Stanislaus Church on October 7, 1939. A life-long member of the parish, she and her husband raised their family there. While her children attended the grade school, she was active in the Mom's Club. Her husband passed away on December 10, 1977.

They had three children: 2 daughters, Geri and Marie, with whom she made her home in Millcreek Twp.; and one son, Charles, (wife Peggy), who resides in Tallmadge, Ohio. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Stephanie of Tallmadge, Ohio, and Brian, (wife Renee), of North Canton, Ohio. She is further survived by a great-grandson, Ethan; and several nieces and a nephew. Mom was always happiest when she was at home surrounded by her family and close friends, especially when sharing meals together. When her health permitted, she was an excellent cook, making all of the traditional Polish recipes. She also loved the family dogs, who were a large part of her life and who brought her much joy. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Adam, who died in infancy, Walter and Stanley; and by her one sister, Mary Kieklak Adamaszek.
