Ronald H. Hewitt

Ronald H. Hewitt, 55, of Erie, died Monday, November 26, 2007 at his residence. He was born September 13, 1952, in Clarion, Pa., son of the late Charles and Bernice Clinger Hewitt.

He was the owner of Greengarden Beer Distributor. He enjoyed playing the guitar and bass with various bands. He was a Cleveland Brown fan.

Besides his parents, one son, Fred Hewitt; and one brother, Chris Hewitt, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara Hewitt; three daughters, Rene Hewitt-Ide and husband, Greg, of Mississauga, Canada, Erin Hewitt and Abby Hewitt both of Erie; and one brother, Chuck Hewitt of Erie. Also survived by six grandchildren, Brandon Hewitt, ShiAnn Conners, Jada Jackson, Johnny Drain, Alija Hewitt, all of Erie, and Zaidee Ide of Mississauga, Canada; and one niece, and one nephew.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St., Erie, Pa 16503, Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 W. 12th St., Erie, PA 16505.
