Irene A. Podgorny "Shelly" Czulewicz

Irene A. Podgorny "Shelly" Czulewicz, 82, of Millcreek Township, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at her daughter's residence. She was born May 23, 1925, in Erie, daughter of the late Stanley and Ann Dolores Wysocki Podgorny.

She was a housewife. She formerly worked at Hammermill Paper Company. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her special dog Cody and his cousin Wisky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Czulewicz, on August 9, 1996 and one brother William Podgorny. Survivors include one daughter, Christine Federowicz and husband Michael of Millcreek, one son, Dennis Czulewicz and wife Terry of Ellicott City, Md. Also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Katie and Jessica, several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
