 Vincent A. "Vinny" Ciotti Jr.
Vincent A. "Vinny" Ciotti, Jr., 61 of Albion, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 18, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. Vinny was born in Erie on December 5, 1949, a son of the late Angeline Randazzo and Vincent A. Ciotti, Sr.
He graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1968. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict and worked as an aircraft mechanic on the B-52 Stratofortress bombers and KC-135 Stratotankers. Upon his discharge from the military he returned to Erie and was a self-employed mechanic in West Springfield, then on Pennside Rd. in Albion since 1996. Vinny was a member of West Springfield VFW Post # 4965 and was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson along Lake Erie into Geneva on the Lake, Ohio and along Route 6 into Wellsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Johnston Ciotti, whom he married on April 10, 1999 in Girard; his three daughters, Heather L. Ciotti of Spokane, Wash., Shannon Ciotti of Fairview and Colleen Flatley of Erie; his son, Jesse A. Ciotti of Erie; his two stepdaughters, Katrina Bowers and her husband, Timothy, and Sherry Saunders, all of Wellsboro; his sister, Annette Ciotti of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio; his grandchildren; Isabella, Emma, Joshua, Anthony, Caden, Brendan, Timmie, Kailie, Lissette and Rylie; his great-granddaughter Macie; sisters-in- law, Marie Beggs and her husband, Robert of Wellsboro, Donna Lepold and her husband, Richard of Cranesville and a brother-in-law Leslie Johnston of Wellsboro.
There will be no calling hours observed. Services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 W. 8th St., Erie, PA. 16501.
