Laura Lee Gossman Falletta

Laura Lee Gossman Falletta, 66 of Lake City, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family and many friends. She was born in North Girard (now Lake City) July 20, 1944, a daughter of the late Laurence and Mariold Swanson Gossman.

Laura Lee graduated from Girard's Rice Avenue Union High School in 1962. She later worked for Sterling Seal in Erie and had most recently been employed by Engineered Plastics as in Inspector, retiring from there in 2006. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and camping at Evergreen Lake Park in Conneaut for many years.

She is survived by her husband Russell J. Falletta of Lake City, whom she married November 2, 1963 in Erie, also by a daughter, Geri-Lyn Kolb and her husband Thomas of Erie; a son Craig A. Falletta and his wife Arlene of Lake City; two sisters, Alice "Allie" L. Fischer and her husband Charles of Lake City, Barbara M. Hartley of Millcreek; six grandchildren, Courtney L. Kolb, Caitlin T. Kolb, Alyssa Yochlin, Courtney Yochlin, Breanne Falletta and Austin Falletta also several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Girard.

Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 1001 State St. Suite # 1400, Erie, PA. 16501 Laura's family would like to express their gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown by all their friends from Evergreen Lake Park,during Laura's illness.
