Donald Ford Daggett

Donald Ford Daggett, 84, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Girard, went to his heavenly home on November 26, 2009 at Avow Hospice.

He was born in Girard where he met his high school sweetheart, Pauline (Babe) Yambor. She preceded him in death in 2006 after 63 years of loving marriage.

He is survived by two daughters; Susan (Cliff) Kosec of Euless, Tex. And Dodie (Craig) Pajer of Naples, Fla. He was also the proud grandfather of Alescia (Mark) Kretschmer, Donald (Dawn) Potopas, and Adam and Alex Pajer as well as two great grandchildren, Andy and Ashley Potopas. His sister, Margaret Weidler of Tucson, Ariz. Also survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Daggett and Gladys Ford Daggett, his brother Richard Daggett and his sister, Marjorie Jeffrey.

Mr. Daggett retired from the Wall Street Journal in 1982.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday December 12, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard at 11a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Avow Hospice, Music Therapy Program, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL., 34105. Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, Girard.
