Nancy Munro Redding Bisbee

Nancy Munro Redding Bisbee, 75 formerly of Girard, died Wednesday May 27, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She was born on June 29, 1933 in Girard, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Semler Munro.

She graduated from Girard's Rice Avenue Union High School in 1951 and was a homemaker for many years. She was later employed at Mann Enterprises in Girard, where she worked as a machine operator, and on weekends worked as an office manager. She lived in Erie for several years and returned to Girard in 1997.

Nancy was an active member of Girard Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed Bible study and had a beautiful lighthouse collection.

She was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband, Benjamin L. Bisbee, whom she married on Feb. 18, 1986; also by her sister Jean Keffer; and her brothers Robert Munro, Franklin Munro, Jerry Munro, and John "Tood" Munro.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her daughter Cricket Harpst and her husband Dwight of Girard; her grandchildren Jessica Harpst of Pittsburgh, Joshua Harpst and his wife Heather of Cary, N.C., and A1C Zachery Harpst (USAF) of Ramstein Air Base, Germany; her great-granddaughter Adelyn E. Harpst of Cary, N.C., born on April 27, 2009; her cousin JoAnn Mangold and her husband Paul of Girard; and several nieces and nephews, including Janet Meeder of New Castle, Pa., Bucky Keffer of Buffalo, N.Y. and Robert Keffer of Florida.

No visitation hours will be observed. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Girard Presbyterian Church, 260 Main St. East, Girard. Rev. Rick Plucknett will officiate.
