Stanley M. Dylewski

Stanley M. Dylewski, 83 of Fairview, died at Pleasant Ridge Manor on Friday, December 19, 2008. He was born on April 20, 1925 in North East, the son of Thomas and Anna (Krainski) Dylewski.

Stan attended Williamsport Technical School and studied tool design. He was employed at Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, N.Y. from 1956 until he retired in 1982. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent most of his retirement years in Summerfield and New Smyrna Beach, Florida where he enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Edward, John and Chester Dylewski and two sisters, Josephine Mankoski and Irene "Nan" Kissell.

He is survived by two brothers, Tom Dylewski and his wife Joanie of Erie and Bob Dylewski and his wife Mania of Clarendon, PA, and two sisters, Mary Davis of Fairview and Amy Sachse of Erie. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many of the good friends he made in Painted Post - Corning, N.Y. where he spent his work years. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7100 West Ridge Rd., Fairview, PA 16415 on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 10:00AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Internment will follow at St. Frances Xavier Cemetery in McKean, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, Girard, PA.
