Nellie Irene Campbell

]l, formerly of 2880 West Avonia Road, Fairview, has died. Mrs. Campbell was the beloved wife of George M. Campbell, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 11, 2007. They were married 59 years.

Nellie was the youngest daughter of Hugh and Lottie May (Hay) McIntyre, both deceased, of Frogtown, PA in Armstrong County. After a year-long courtship, Nellie and her husband George were married at Brown's Chapel Methodist Church in Erie on April 9, 1948. They bought their home at 2880 WestAvonia Road in 1954, and lived there until October of 2006, when they became residents of Niagara Village Retirement Community.

Nellie is survived by her four children and their spouses: George M. Campbell II and his wife Sandee, of Girard; Norman W. Campbell and his wife, Brenda, of Indianapolis, IN; Kevin O. Campbell and his wife, Angela, of Elkhart, IN; and Sandi Orban and her husband, Robert, of Glens Falls, NY.

Nellie is survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Michael Hooker and his wife, Melanie, of Erie; Michael P. Campbell and his wife, Brooke, of Indianapolis, IN; Melissa Stewart and her husband, Jason, of South Bend, IN; Tara Campbell of Elkhart, IN; and Robert Orban, Jr. and Jessica Orban of Glens Falls, NY.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 noon at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church 8942 Ridge Rd. Girard. Rev. Andrew Edwards, Pastor of the church will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, Girard.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice Care, 17 Indiana Dr. Erie, PA 16505 in honor of Mrs. Nellie I. Campbell.
